Volunteers

From time to time, the 12+ Youth Justice Committee looks to recruit new volunteers.  There are two ways to volunteer with the 12+ YJC.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is chaired by the local Assistant Crown Attorney.  It is also made up of community stakeholders who make valuable contributions of their knowledge and time.  This committee is responsible for guiding and directing the 12+ YJC program.

Community Justice Conference Facilitator

The 12+ YJC facilitators are volunteer members of the community who are trained to facilitate conferences between victims, youth and others affected by wrongdoings by youth.  These volunteers go through a 2 day training course and must co-facilitate with an experienced facilitator (as an observer) before actually facilitating a conference.

If you are interested in applying to volunteer with the 12+ Youth Justice Committee, please contact the Coordinator at 807-887-5858 for more information!
